On Friday, July 20th, 2018 the 2nd edition of the annual Pan Africa Youth and Talent Summit (#AYTSummit2018) was held in Sarakasi Dome | Ngara Road | Kenya.
Delegates from 5 African countries (Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Somalia, and Zimbabwe) between the ages of 18 and 35 attended the summit.
Session keynote addresses were delivered by some of Africa’s leading youth experts including Charlotte De Ridder, Dr. Oyeniyi Shogo, and Prince Siita Sofo. The sessions/workshops includes Career/Business Development, Personal Development, and Youth&Political Leadership
Just like in 2017, a panel discussion of each session with youth representatives in the various industries was quite interactive allowing participants to speak directly to keynote speakers in the Q&A session.
The Africa Youth and Talent Summit attracted representatives from Youth-friendly organizations, teachers, politicians, policymakers, the general public, and media. Overall approximately 1,000 delegates attended each section of AYTSummit 2018.
The summit was featured entertaining moments by comedians and spoken word poets.
In the end, AYTSNetwork Kenya was launched as part AYTSNetwork#s goal to sustain the impact of the summit. The Network Executives were also charged like their Ghanaian counterpart to become great Change Agents and to work and promote Youth and Community development.
